Today i was bored so i watched the newest Nostalgia Chick video. And gosh, this was boring, no i dont mean bad, i mean boring like a math class. It all started with a very lame "cameo", thats right Nella or whatever her name is, give our dear NC a call. For further postings i will refer to Nella as Sean Faustina.
And after that its getting really stupid and boring, our beloved Lindsay (yes she has a Mickey Mouse Diploma for movies) is going to rip The Man in the Iron Mask a new one, NOT. SO what did she critizise? Yep thats right Martin Scorsese as a clown because he gave Leonardo Di Caprio some serious non-romance roles to perform. Well Lindsay you are wrong here (damn you Mickey Mouse diploma and wrong fact checks). Leonardo Di Caprio had some really serious roles long before the Scorsese-era. For example his famous role in "Whats eating Gilbert Grape" in 1993 or "The Basketball Diaries" in 1995. So what did they teach in film class again?
And even before Gangs of New York, he was the leading actor in Danny Boyle´s The Beach (i like this movie). And Danny Boyle is not particular the Funny-movie producer. So after those innitial mistakes we got You guessed it "another boring summary of the things happen in the movie". If i wanna have a movie summary i will use Wikipedia. It´s annoying how a little brat like Lindsay Ellis has the chuzpe to bash respected actors like John Malkovich. Lindsay, not everyone on the whole world is as blatant and boring as your TGWTG-Posse.
After a 4 month hiatus the "fans" got such a lousy and boring video with no funny moments or useful informations or opinions. And before someone is calling me a HATER, just look at the video ratings, its low even for TGWTG-standards.
And to make things worse, the NC used to be the number one "FAP" Material for Fanboys, but right now i would say : " If you put a naked Lindsay Ellis in my bed, i would love to share the night in a homeless shelter"
It´s not because she is getting "fat" which is obvious some sick kind of joke on the one hand but it would be sad if she was actually getting more chubby.
No, i dont like her face anymore. That´s is the problem, she has lost her charismatic appearance. Look at her face and compare it to other earlier videos.
Ehm... low? It's a 4.4 (out of 5) average, that's not so bad. It's pretty standard for the Nostalgia Chick's videos. You might want to put things into perspective.

AntwortenLöschenOne thing that I don't get about Nostalgia Chic is her determination to show us her friend Nella. It's obvious that she doesn't bring anything interesting to the show itself but still The Chick brings her back just because Nella is her friend. You know, I kinda get the idea why people like Spoony are doing circle jerking with other TGWTG "producers" but it gets even dumber when you bring your best friend to the mix. It's just stupid and it doesn't bring anything good to the show itself. I kinda like the looks of The Chick but that Nella sure can kill a good boner.

And if you also didnt noticed, getting Chubby or fat is the common TGWTG-Desease, except for maybe Handsome Tom, nobody is actually in good shape.
Doug doesn't look fat to me, so do Lindsay, Brad, Paw, Benzaie, Ed Glaser (and overall most of the Inked Reality team), Todd in the Shadows...

It's no secret that she thinks the idea of a "female counterpart" is at least vaguely sexist (see her "Smurfette Principle" video). In that respect, Doug Walker's offer wasn't too well-worded. So accordingly, the Nostalgia Chick really exaggerated the "Chick" part - the nerdy lolita thing - of it.
I think it's hard to explain but from my vantage point it's absolutely clear that she wasn't playing to a whooing male "You're sexy!" crowd.
Sorry El Chupa you are on your own here, cause your arguements are weak and show me that you did not carefully read articles here.

You guys understand that my boner comment wasn't that serious, I mean I did found internet porn long before TGWTG even started. Actually when The Chick started her show I kinda liked the sly parody of "nerd lolita" thing and I really thought that her videos up to early 2009 weren't all that bad. Pretty much after that those videos started to get a whole lot boring and a whole lot preachy. After she added Nella to the mix the whole show became like this awful and unfunny train wreck. I mean I usually like awful train wrecks (WWE NXT season 3) but this was just sad. Nella can't act a lick and her jokes were just awful. It seemed like The Chick wanted to feature her friend no matter what.
AntwortenLöschenOne of the things that annoys me about the Chick is her overly political correct attitude. For example, she points out that Depardieu, Irons, and Malkovic are all white men. Is this really necessary? A) we can see they're white and B) What does she expect in a film set in antique France? There aren't really going to be a lot of non-white people wandering around.

Nostalgi Critic Critic
After "The Chick's" Spice World review, it really all went down hill for her. She was funny when she pointed how films such as Spice World and Teen Witch contained such shallow and idiotic people pandering to morons. Now she has solely become pretentious, lefty, feminist.

Never liked the Chick and the other "girl" reviewers. They only got in because they got the goods.
